5-Day Foresight and Innovation Bootcamp. Bucharest

The 5-Day Foresight and Innovation Bootcamp in Bucharest is an intensive, hands-on professional programme for leaders, managers, innovation and strategy professionals, consultants, policy makers and public sector decision-makers who want to build practical capabilities in Strategic Foresight, Innovation, Design Thinking and Systems Thinking.

Taking place 23–27 November 2026 in Bucharest, Romania, the Bootcamp combines future-oriented thinking, human-centred innovation and practical experimentation. Throughout the five days, participants work on a real-world challenge, applying methodologies and tools directly rather than learning them only in theory.

The programme introduces participants to a broad portfolio of approaches and tools, including Strategic Foresight and Futures Thinking, Design Thinking, Systems Thinking, Jobs-to-be-Done, trend and signal research, scenario development, Customer Journey Mapping, Service Blueprinting, Agile, Lean Six Sigma and AI for Innovation.

Participants learn how to:

identify emerging trends, signals and drivers of change;
explore alternative future scenarios and their implications;
understand complex systems and reframe challenges;
uncover customer, citizen and stakeholder needs;
identify strategic and innovation opportunities;
develop and test human-centred solutions;
choose and combine methodologies depending on the challenge;
translate foresight and innovation insights into practical action.

A distinctive part of the programme is the HorizonX Innovation Meta-Model, which helps participants understand when and how different innovation methodologies can be selected, adapted and combined instead of relying on a single approach.

The Bootcamp is designed for professionals from both private companies and public sector or government organisations. It is particularly relevant for leaders, strategy and innovation teams, transformation professionals, consultants, policy makers and public sector professionals responsible for developing strategies, policies, services and solutions that need to remain relevant in a rapidly changing environment.
